Hamilton Boys High (A) are once again Waikato Secondary School Champions and will represent the region at the National Chess Tournament in September. The team was Board 1: Daniel Loy, Board 2: Lasen Silva, Board 3: Nathan Sun, and Board 3: Jeremy Coombe.
Eight teams competed: 2 each from Hamilton Boys and Hillcrest, and one from St Pauls, Te Kuiti, Cambridge High School, and St Johns. The tournament was run as a 7 round single round robin.
