Hamilton Chess Club Mooving Rapid, Sun 16th Oct
To celebrate the new Hamilton Chess Centre (within Hamilton Girls High School), this Rapid is going to be bigger than usual for us.
There will be 6 rounds of 20 minutes + 5 seconds a move from move 1 chess for all ages.

NZCF rapid rated. All players must be NZCF registered or pay the $20 fee before round 1.

Guaranteed Prize money of $500, including 1st $150, 2nd $120, 3rd $80 and rating group prizes for best U1800, U1400, ‘u1200 and under 12’ players. Guaranteed prize fund based on a minimum of 13 players.

These events are NZCF rapid rated – players must be NZCF registered or pay the NZCF registration fee ($20) before round 1.

Entry fees:
$30 for adults
$25 for juniors and Hamilton Chess Club members
Free entry for GM, WGM, IM and WIMs

If not already registered with NZCF for 2011, a player registration fee of  $20 also applies.

* Notes:

• The organiser reserves the right to accept or reject entries.
• The organiser reserves the right to vary the number of prizes and the prize categories, based on entry numbers.
• Age division (junior is under 18) is decided by the age of the entrant as at the date of each event.
• Free tea, coffee, milo are available.
• Each competitor can win only one prize.
• In the case of equal scores, the winner will be determined by computer count-back.
• The event will be played under the FIDE laws of chess and the Hamilton Chess Club code of ethics (see library).
