Hamilton Chess Club Anzac Day Rapid, Wed 25th April

There will be 7 rounds of 20 minutes + 5 seconds a move from move 1 chess for all ages.

Guaranteed Prize money of $400, including 1st $100, 2nd $80, 3rd $50 and rating group prizes for best U1800, U1500, ‘u1200 and under 12’ players. Guaranteed prize fund based on a minimum of 13 players.

This event is NZCF rapid rated – players must be NZCF registered or pay the NZCF registration fee ($20) before round 1.

Entry fees:
$30 for adults
$25 for juniors and Hamilton Chess Club members
Free entry for GM, WGM, IM and WIMs – but any prize money won by these players is reduced by $25.

If not already registered with NZCF for 2012, a player registration fee of  $20 also applies.

Please be there from 9:45am, room G1, Hamilton Girls High School, enter from Hill St. The first round starts at 10:15 am – and there will be a 40 minute lunch break after round 3 (prize giving planned for 5:15pm). Please register your details here

• The organiser reserves the right to accept or reject entries.
• The organiser reserves the right to vary the number of prizes and the prize categories, based on entry numbers.
• Age division (junior is under 18) is decided by the age of the entrant as at the date of the event.
• Free tea, coffee, milo are available.
• Each competitor can win only one prize.
• In the case of equal scores, the prize money will be shared.
• The event will be played under the FIDE laws of chess and the Hamilton Chess Club code of ethics (see library).
