Juniors
This is a collection of upcoming events for juniors/school age chess players. As well as the Hamilton Chess Club Rookies Shield (for juniors and adult alike), there are other events in the Waikato and beyond that would appeal to different chess playing strengths, just for school age and up to under 20s.

Waikato Schools Team Event, 20 May, Southall School, Hamilton
This is the qualifying event for Waikato schools to enter the National Interschools team event. More details to follow.
Waikato School Pupils Tournament, 29 July at St Pauls Collegiate, Hamilton
