North Island Rapid
The North Island Rapid is being organised by the Hamilton Chess Club, so please come along and support this NZCF Nationally Rated and Think Big NZ Chess Grand Prix level 2 event.
Where: St Paul’s Collegiate School, Hukanui Road, Hamilton. (This is a non-smoking area)
When: From 9am on 11 September 2011
Format: 6 Round swiss tournament 0f 25 minute + 5 seconds a move from round 1. First round at 9.30am
Minimum Prize fund: 1st $200, 2nd $150, 3rd $100; plus grade prizes totalling $250
Timetable: Sunday 11th September, 2011
Players meeting: 9am sharp, entries close.
Round 1 9:30 am – 10:30 am; Round 2 11:00 am – 12 noon
Round 3 12:45 pm – 1:45 pm; Round 4 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Round 5 3:15 pm – 4:15 pm; Round 6 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Prize-giving will follow as soon as possible after the completion of the last round.
Entry Fees:
$35 if received by Friday 9th September ($28 for Hamilton Chess Club members)
If not already registered with NZCF for 2011, a player registration fee of $20 also applies.
Late entry fee $10 (if entry received after 9th September)
